Terms of service.

What you are agreeing to. The clauses that actually matter are near the top and in plain sentences, because terms nobody can read are not protection.

These terms apply when you use Mailbox MCP. By creating an account or connecting a mailbox you are agreeing to them. They were last reviewed on the date at the bottom of this page.

The agreement

Who you are contracting with

BSolve IT Limited, trading as Mailbox MCP, registered in England and Wales, company number 04607330, VAT number GB 806 170 747, registered office 5 Epping Close, Barton Seagrave, Kettering, Northamptonshire, NN15 6TR. Contact: support@mailbox-mcp.com.

What the service does

Mailbox MCP is a remote MCP server. You connect a mailbox you already own, and an AI client of your choosing can then read, search, draft, send, reply to, forward, move, delete and flag mail in it, at your instruction.

Deleting moves a message to Trash, as your own mail client does, and we provide no way to erase mail permanently or to empty a folder. One action is an exception and we would rather name it here than let you find it: asking it to change a draft replaces that draft, because IMAP cannot edit a message in place. The new version is saved before the old one is removed, and the version it replaces is not kept. It applies only to unsent drafts, never to mail you have received or sent.

We do not provide:

  • the mailbox itself, or any guarantee about your mail provider;
  • the AI client, or any guarantee about what it decides to do;
  • backup, archiving, export or migration of your mail;
  • contacts or file storage, or a calendar on any mailbox whose owner has not connected one.

Worth understanding before you connect anything

An AI client acting on your mailbox can send, move and delete mail. It does so because you asked it to, and it can misunderstand what you asked. You remain responsible for what is sent from your mailbox. Treat it as you would treat giving a capable new colleague access on their first day, and check the important things.

What you are responsible for

  • Having the right to connect the mailbox you connect. If it belongs to an employer, that you are permitted to.
  • Keeping your account credentials to yourself.
  • What is sent from your mailbox through the service.
  • Complying with your own obligations to the people who write to you, including data protection ones.
  • Keeping your own backups. We are not one.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to:

  • send unsolicited bulk mail, of any kind, for any reason;
  • break any law, or infringe anyone's rights;
  • access a mailbox you are not entitled to access;
  • attempt to break, overload or circumvent the limits on the service;
  • resell access without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and will tell you why. Where the breach is serious, such as bulk unsolicited mail, we may suspend first and explain immediately afterwards, because the alternative is letting it continue while we compose an email.

Availability

We aim to keep the service running and we do not offer a service level agreement. It depends on things outside our control, including your mail provider, your AI provider, and the internet between them.

Providers change how their systems work, sometimes without notice. Two such changes are described in our set-up guides and both broke every tool in this category on the day they happened. If a provider change stops a connection working, we will fix it as quickly as we can, but we cannot promise it will not happen.

Payment and cancellation

The free tier is free and needs no card. Pro is £34.99 + VAT per mailbox per year, which is £2.92 a month, taken by card through Stripe as one annual payment and renewing annually until you stop it. There is no monthly payment option: the monthly figure is what the annual charge works out at, and the annual charge is what is taken.

Prices on this site are net of VAT. VAT is added at the checkout at the rate that applies to you, which is 20% for United Kingdom customers, and the total is shown before you confirm.

You can stop the renewal on any mailbox at any time from the control panel; Pro then runs to the end of the period you have paid for. Our refunds and cancellation policy sets out the detail, including the statutory 14 day right for UK consumers, and it forms part of these terms.

If we change the price, it takes effect at your next renewal and we will tell you before that happens. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected by anything on this page.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profits, for lost business, or for loss of data where you had the means to keep your own copy. Our total liability in any twelve month period is limited to what you paid us in that period.

That limit is low because the price is low, and stating it plainly is fairer than burying it. If your use of the service is important enough that the limit troubles you, say so before you rely on it and we will have a sensible conversation about it.

Ending the agreement

You can close your account at any time. Doing so removes your stored mailbox credentials. We do not refund the remainder of a paid period on closure except as set out in the refunds policy.

We can end the agreement by giving you reasonable notice, or immediately where you have seriously breached the acceptable use section. If we end it without cause, we will refund the unused part of anything you have paid.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the reviewed date below changes with them. Where a change materially affects your rights we will email account holders rather than relying on you noticing.
