What per mailbox means
One account, as many mailboxes as you want to connect, and Pro bought for each mailbox you want it on. A typical arrangement looks like this: your main work mailbox on Pro, and a couple of others (an old domain, a shared enquiries address you rarely touch) sitting on the free tier.
We are labouring this because the alternative reading is the one that causes trouble. Being told a price "for as many mailboxes as you need" and then billed for each of them is a genuinely common experience in this category, and it is the kind of surprise that ends a customer relationship on the first invoice rather than the second.
So: £34.99 + VAT buys Pro on one mailbox for one year. Two mailboxes on Pro cost twice that. Nothing else changes with volume, and there is no per-seat charge, no minimum and no setup fee.

What counts as a call
For a worked example on a real backlog, the triage method counts what a full inbox pass actually costs, which is the honest way to judge whether the free tier is enough for you.
One MCP call is one use of one tool. Asking Claude to find a thread and reply to it is not one call: it is a search, a read, and a send. That is worth knowing before you judge whether 5 a day is enough for you.
A calendar call is counted exactly like a mail call, out of the same allowance. There is no separate calendar quota to buy and no calendar call that is free. Checking when four people are free, booking the meeting and sending the invitations is three calls, in the same way that finding a thread and replying to it is three.
The free tier is sized to prove the product works on your own mailbox, not to run a working day on. If you are using Claude with your mail properly, you will pass 5 calls quickly, and that is the honest reason Pro exists.
One limit, one number, one unit
5 calls per mailbox per day. The control panel shows the same figure in the same unit. If you ever see this site and the panel disagree about a number, that is a bug and we would like to hear about it at support@mailbox-mcp.com.
Your rights
Cancelling and refunds
Stop the renewal on any mailbox at any time, from the control panel. Pro continues to the end of the period you have paid for, and then that mailbox drops back to the free tier. It is not disconnected and nothing is deleted.
If you are a consumer in the UK buying online, you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days. Our refunds and cancellation policy sets out the full terms, including how that right works when you have already started using the service.

Questions about pricing
Is the price per mailbox or per account?
Per mailbox. One account holds as many mailboxes as you like and Pro is bought for each mailbox you want it on, so holding one Pro mailbox alongside several free ones is a normal way to use it. We say this plainly because the alternative reading is the one that generates angry emails.
What happens when I reach the free limit?
The mailbox stops accepting further MCP calls, and starts accepting them again as soon as its earliest recent call passes 24 hours old. The limit is a rolling 24 hours rather than a counter that empties at midnight, so a busy afternoon never costs you the following morning. Nothing is deleted, nothing is disconnected, and no charge is made. The limit is 5 calls per mailbox in any 24 hours, and that is the same number in the control panel as it is on this page.
Does Pro renew automatically?
Yes, annually, and you can stop the renewal on any mailbox at any time. Pro then continues to the end of the period you have already paid for rather than stopping on the day you cancel.
How do I pay?
By card, through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe and are never held by us.
Is there a free trial of Pro?
There is no time-limited trial, because the free tier is better than one: it does not expire. Every tool works on the free tier, mail and calendar alike, and the only difference is the daily call limit, so you can test the thing you are actually buying for as long as you want before buying it.
Do the calendar tools cost extra, or come out of a separate allowance?
Neither. They are metered exactly like the mail tools, out of the same daily allowance on the same mailbox, and there is nothing extra to buy. Checking when four people are free, booking the meeting and sending the invitations is three calls, in the same way that finding a thread and replying to it is three. Whether a mailbox gets the calendar tools at all depends on whether a calendar has been connected to it rather than on its plan, and they are there on the free tier as well as on Pro.
